Now the Aputure has announced four new Amaran Series COB LED lights. They are 100d, 100x, 200d and 200x. All these led lights have Bowens lamp-compatible fittings and are budget-friendly. 100 and 200 relate to the wattage of the fixture. D and X relate to daylight balanced and bicolor.
These 4 light fixtures have almost identical features. (Bowens mount on the front, 0-100% brightness control, passive cooled, DC powered but with an AC adaptor (not to be confused with the large modules of the 120/300D, more on that below), The X version rated at 2700k-6500k while the D version rated at 5500k.
