A few weeks after the launch of theEnder 3 S1 PLus, we get a news that Creality will release an Ender 3 Max Neo in August.
As an upgrade to the Ender 3 Max, Ender 3 Max Neo has CR-touch auto leveling, a 32-bit silent motherboard, an upgraded Bowden extruder, and some other exciting features. It has Dual Z-axis to increase stability, and equipped with belt tensioners for easy calibration, and use same color LCD knob screen as the Ender 3 V2 and Ender 3 S1 for a better user experience.
We have already got a machine and started reviewing it. what can we expect from the Ender 3 Max Neo? How does it compare to the Ender 3 S1 Plus, and how do we choose between them? Check out our review below to find out.
The Ender 3 Max Neo is priced $389 on Amazon when you apply the coupon.
Unbox & Assembly of Creality Ender3 Max Neo
For assemble, Creality Ender 3 Max Neo comes with 96% pre-assembled, you only need 10-20 minutes to put a few parts together in the first install, and then you can start printing straightly.
Here is a unbox and setup video for your reference:(One Amazon customer review mentioned that the printer is a pain to get out of the box and can cause damage if you are not careful. If possible, it is recommended that it is best to have one person take the top part out of the box and have a second person take out the packing foam and grab the base so that they can move it together without causing damage to the machine.)
Features:
Product Feature of Creality Ender Max Neo:
1. CR Touch Auto Bed Leveling
2. Power Loss Recovery and Filament Sensor
3. High-precision Dual Z-Axis Higher Printing Precision
4. Upgrade Red Metal Extruder & Low-noise Design

Test:
We tested a vase printed in TPU and a hand model printed in PLA, and the results came out very impressive.
The vase model is printed perfectly, with almost no defects and very good details.
The model of the hand is also very successful, only in some details are not perfect, but in general I am very satisfied.
Verdict:
Ender 3 Max Neo vs. Ender 3 Max
2 years ago Creality released the Ender 3 Max as an enlarged version of the Ender 3, now you can get it on Amazon for about 300USD (if you join the Amazon Prime). The Price of Ender 3 Max is 389USD. Beween these two, I will definitely recommend the new Ender 3 Max Neo, it has a CRtouch, a better screen, and more important- a better extruder. If you buy every accessories to upgrade thre old Ender 3 Max, you may need more than $150 to invest in it, while buying the upgrade version you only need to pay $89 more, and compared to the previous Ender Max, Neo does not require you to spend a lot of time to assemble.
Ender 3 Max Neo(Updates over Ender 3 Max):
1. CR touch auto-leveling function
2. Double Z-axis Screw dual-bar wire linkage at the same time, to avoid the printing deviation ofsingle-axis printing
3. 32-bit super silent motherboard
4. Belt adjuster
* Printing size: 300*300*320 ( 300*300*340 for Ender 3 Max)
Price Comparison:The Neo version is $10 more expensive than the Ender 3 max (orginal price $379).
Ender 3 Max Neo vs. Ender 3 S1 Plus
Between Ender 3 Max Neo and Ender 3 S1 Plus, if you more like drive extruder, the Ender 3 Plus is a good chice, it is not much expensive as the CR10 smart Pro over 800USD, but as the high-end model of larger Ender 3 S1-Ender 3 series, you won't be disappointed with its performance.
If you are on a budget and do not want to invest too much in 3d printing, then I recommend the Ender 3 Max Neo, which will meet your needs for printing large models with generally satisfactory results.
As for the printing quality between the Ender 3 Max Neo and Ender 3 S1 Plus, the truth is that there is not much difference between them. We found the same answer in the review from EBPMAN Tech Reviews. Such excellent printing results are probably due to Creality's upgraded extruder. Along with the release of the Ender 3 S1 series, Creality also released the Sprite extruder. This time with the Neo series, I wonder if there are new extruder accessories to upgrade the previous models.
