unusable - disappointed, not sharp, ghost frames, CAs change with aperture

I’m disappointed as this lens was very favorable due to its size. Not to be offended, but I’m doing photography for over 10years, including manual lenses, so I know what I’m speaking of here. Already in contact with Lemoine from Pergear to handle this complaint.
Based on the aperture the chromatic aberrations change and the lens is giving a kind of ghost frame.

Nevertheless the corners of the sunhood are always in frame, I should have taken the black version of the lens to at least have a black vignetting and not silverish white corners

Great lens for the money

I used it on my Sony A7ii and it was excellent. Awesome build quality and feels really premium. Super soft bokeh wide open and very sharp stopped down. Nice vintage lens look without the price and hassle of adapting vintage lenses. Only issue is that the included lens hood adds a lot of vignetting but it’s fine without the hood. Would absolutely recommend this lens to anyone.

Nice vintage lens effect to have but ...

The focus ring is smooth except for one point, where it feels like resistance. Probably due to poor quality checking before shipping.

Belle surprise pour photographe attentif

Good lens with a lot of character which requires attention to be used with rigor but above all pleasure for always surprising results in the service of photographic expression

Leave That Huge Lens Home

What these affordable Chinese lenses, like this Pergear 35/1.4, are competing against and not the OEM glass. They're competing against old vintage lenses in the used market. It's a smart strategy. Why buy some 60-year-old banged-up Russian Industar, for instance, and all that comes with it—dust, scratches, fungus, dings, dents, stiff focusing rings, sticky apertures—when you can get a brand new Pergear 35/1.4 for $103 (at the time of this writing) that is well-made, has oodles of "character," and none of the old lens vices? Great walking around lens. Nice and small, like a rangefinder lens. Turns my bulky mirrorless into a viable street shooter. Dreamy wide open, sharp enough stopped down, very fast 1.4 aperture, great bokeh for a 35mm with its 10 blade aperture, all-metal construction. Really, you can't ask for more for $100 US, realistically.
